WANA (Jan 22) – Asghar Jahangir, spokesperson for the Judiciary, in a press conference attended by reporters from various media outlets, stated: “The brave and oppressed Palestinian nation, after 470 days of resistance, managed to bring the occupying Israeli regime to its knees, preventing it from achieving its malicious goals.”

 

He explained that Israel’s acceptance of a ceasefire occurred despite the regime’s brutal actions and relentless efforts, which ultimately ended in failure. Jahangir added: “This happened despite extensive military, economic, political, and diplomatic support provided in favor of Israel and against the oppressed Palestinian people. However, the outcome was nothing but defeat for the Israelis. We believe the divine promise is true: truth will always prevail over falsehood.”

 

The judiciary spokesperson further noted: “Despite widespread atrocities, Hamas was neither destroyed, nor was the resistance halted. Over the past 15 months, Israel failed to free its captives even by force. During this time, the Israeli regime committed a litany of crimes, including genocide and child killings, against the oppressed people of Palestine. This resulted in 47,000 deaths, 110,000 injuries, tens of thousands missing, and nearly 2 million displaced individuals.”

He emphasized: “Nowhere in the world or by any logic are crimes, bombings, genocide, or the killing of children considered achievements. Despite all the atrocities, Netanyahu ultimately bowed before the resilient Palestinian people and shamefully accepted the ceasefire, as he failed in his mission to annihilate the resistance.”

 

Jahangir asserted: “Today, the cause of liberating Palestine and Al-Quds has transformed into a global call and value, fueled by the blood of innocents, children, the oppressed, and fighters. The International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Israel’s Minister of War, showing that even the deaf ears of justice are now hearing the cries of the oppressed.”

 

He added: “This ceasefire demonstrates that the impunity of the child-killing regime has collapsed, and they must await prosecution for the crimes they committed against humanity. As the wise Leader of the Revolution stated, the future of the region and resistance will be far brighter than today.”

Arrests in the Assassination of Judges Razini and Moghiseh

The spokesperson confirmed the arrest of several individuals linked to the recent assassinations of Iranian judges Razini and Moghiseh, stating: “Among the detainees are members of opposition groups. Investigations indicate that the attacker was influenced by group directives and possibly connected to hostile factions. Since the case is classified, further details will be provided later. He added: “Charged with photographing classified locations and collaborating with a hostile state, the individual was detained, and the Swiss Embassy in Tehran was immediately informed. While in custody, he received full cooperation from prison authorities, including accommodations for his vegan diet.”

 

Describing the incident, Jahangir stated: “On the day of the incident, surveillance footage shows the prisoner eating breakfast and later turning off the cell’s lights in the absence of his cellmate. He used the bathroom curtain to hang himself in a spot out of camera view.

 

Despite swift intervention by prison staff, the efforts were unsuccessful, and the individual passed away.”

 

Representatives from the Swiss Embassy, along with a trusted physician, examined the body and confirmed the suicide. The body was subsequently transferred to Tehran’s forensic office and handed over to embassy representatives.
