WANA (May 19) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Oman met and held talks on the sidelines of the Tehran Dialogue Forum.

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, who traveled to Iran at the invitation of Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to attend the Tehran Dialogue Forum, met with his Iranian counterpart on Sunday.

Araghchi thanked his Omani counterpart for participating in the Forum, describing it as a valuable opportunity for consultation and synergy among countries—especially neighboring ones—to seize shared opportunities and confront common challenges.

During the meeting, Al-Busaidi emphasized the Sultan of Oman’s strong commitment to deepening the friendly relations between the two neighboring countries.

The two sides also discussed and exchanged views on the latest developments regarding the indirect Iran-U.S. negotiations.

Additionally, a trilateral meeting was held between Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the foreign ministers of Iran, Oman, and Qatar, respectively. This meeting, hosted by Iran’s foreign minister, also took place on the sidelines of the Tehran Dialogue Forum.

The trilateral session focused on reviewing the latest updates and the current state of the indirect Iran-U.S. negotiations, which are being mediated by Oman.

The Tehran Dialogue Forum, attended by 200 delegations including senior officials from 53 countries, Gulf ministers, decision-makers, and UN representatives, provided a prominent platform for dialogue.

This two-day event, featuring 40 expert panels, live session broadcasts, and coverage by 50 international media outlets, underscored Iran’s role as a responsible and leading actor in regional and global diplomacy, creating space for consensus-building and shaping a new regional order.
