WANA (Feb 23) – Aayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized in a message on the occasion of the funeral and burial ceremony of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyed Hashem Safiedin: “The enemy must know that resistance against occupation, oppression, and arrogance will never end and will continue until the ultimate goal is achieved.”

 

The full text of the Supreme Leader’s message, which was read today at the ceremony by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, the Leader’s representative in Iraq and a member of the leadership delegation sent to Lebanon, is as follows:

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Allah, the Almighty, has said:

“And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.” (Quran 63:8)

 

The great warrior and leading figure of resistance in the region, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah (may Allah elevate his rank), now stands at the peak of honor. His pure body is laid to rest in the land of jihad in the path of Allah, but his soul and his path will shine even brighter each day, God willing, and will continue to guide his followers.

 

The enemy must know that resistance against occupation, oppression, and arrogance will never end and will persist, by God’s will, until the final destination is reached.

 

The honorable name and radiant face of Seyed Hashem Safiedin (may Allah’s mercy be upon him) will also remain a shining star in the history of this region. He was a close companion and an inseparable part of the leadership of the resistance in Lebanon.

 

May the peace of Allah and His righteous servants be upon these two esteemed warriors, upon all the courageous and self-sacrificing fighters who have been martyred in recent times, and upon all the martyrs of Islam. And my special greetings to you, my dear children—the brave youth of Lebanon.
