WANA (May 03) – A senior Iranian official has warned that any confrontation with Iran would carry grave consequences for the United States, adding that Tehran remains committed to dialogue but is prepared for all outcomes.

Mohsen Rezaei, a member of Iran’s Expediency Council, wrote on his account on X (formerly Twitter) that Iran has shown seriousness and political will in negotiations, but U.S. President Donald Trump and his team remain confused and disoriented, under the influence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and American neoconservatives.

“Trump claimed he had plans to end wars immediately — even within 24 hours — before entering the White House,” Rezaei wrote. “But the war in Ukraine continues, the ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon has collapsed, and the Israeli occupying army has seized parts of Syria.”

He added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran has clearly demonstrated its seriousness and willingness to negotiate and reach an agreement. But Trump and his team, swayed by Netanyahu and the neocons, are still in a state of confusion and disarray.”

Rezaei concluded with a stark warning: “Iran is prepared for any scenario. A confrontation with Iran would have horrific consequences for the United States.”
