Netherlands Summons Iran’s Ambassador Over Missile Transfer Claims
WANA (Sep 11) – Dutch Foreign Minister Kasper Veldkamp announced that the Iranian ambassador to the Netherlands has been summoned.
In a post on social media platform X, Veldkamp claimed that Iran has sent ballistic missiles to Russia. He condemned the action, describing it as “highly provocative and a serious threat to European security.”
Veldkamp added, “The new Iranian government seeks closer ties with Europe, but any support for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine undermines this goal.” He also expressed the Netherlands’ support for stronger EU sanctions against Iran.
These statements come as Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has denied the allegations of missile transfers to Russia.
