WANA (May 22) – The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, in a decree, while appreciating the 10-year efforts of Admiral Ali Shamkhani, appointed Ali Akbar Ahmadian to this position during his tenure as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.

WHO IS “ALI AHMADIAN” ?

Iran’s new Supreme National Security Council secretary was born in 1961, Babak City, Kerman province.

 

In 1985, after the historic decree of Imam Khomeini on the formation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) three forces, he was appointed as the head of the IRGC Naval Headquarters. After the war’s end, he was appointed deputy commander of the IRGC Navy and, later, by the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC; he got the position of commander of the IRGC Navy.

 

Ahmadian was also appointed as the head of the Joint Staff of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps by Ayatollah Khamenei in 2000, and for nearly two years while maintaining his position, he assumed the responsibility of commanding Imam Hussein University.

 

In September 2006, appointed by the Leader of the Revolution as the head of the Strategic Center of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. On September 20, 2022, he joined the Expediency Council of the Islamic Revolution.

 

Ahmadian was one of the five new members that the Leader of the revolution added to the composition of the Expediency Council.
