WANA (Jan 13) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh emphasized the country’s military readiness, asserting that the Armed Forces can dominate the skies if necessary. “We will not permit any enemy to act with audacity or impudence,” he declared.

At the Ceremony for the Delivery of 1,000 Strategic Drones to the Army, the Iranian Defense Minister said that the Iranian Armed Forces have made significant strides in drone technology, deploying diverse drones across their ground, air, naval, and air defense forces. According to Nasirzadeh, the Armed Forces utilize drones for defensive and integrated missions, including sea-based takeoff and landing capabilities, intelligent support for ground operations, and cutting-edge innovations.

“The drones introduced today enhance the operational capacity of the Iranian Army to dominate the skies and deliver crushing blows to the enemy when required,” Nasirzadeh stated.

Nasirzadeh highlighted the Defense Ministry’s role in supplying advanced weapons and equipment to the military, emphasizing that what is displayed during exercises represents only a fraction of Iran’s capabilities. “We possess surprising and formidable equipment that will be deployed by our forces if needed,” he added.

AI Integration and FPV Drones

The Defense Minister underlined the integration of artificial intelligence in drones, focusing on continuous advancements to align with modern technologies. “Optimizing drones with AI and enhancing their functionality depends on operational assessments and access to cutting-edge technologies,” he noted.

He also discussed the production of FPV (First Person View) drones, stating that the Defense Ministry collaborates closely with other organizations and military forces. “There is exceptional coordination between the Defense Ministry and various sectors in the production of these drones, which are being developed in a highly interactive environment,” Nasirzadeh said.

Nasirzadeh praised the military’s leadership for their relentless pursuit of innovation. “The unwavering dedication and demands of our commanders drive the defense industry to greater achievements. We take pride in collaborating with the scientists of the self-sufficiency jihad to meet the needs of the Armed Forces,” he said.
