WANA (Oct 27) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issued a statement strongly condemning the recent Israeli attack on Iran, calling it a blatant violation of Iranian sovereignty and international law.

 

The OIC called on the international community and influential global actors to work towards de-escalation and an end to regional violence. The organization also urged an immediate halt to Israeli hostilities in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.

 

The OIC highlighted that such provocative actions threaten regional stability. This statement follows an announcement by Iran’s Air Defense Command early Saturday, reporting that Israeli forces targeted several military sites in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam despite prior warnings.

 

According to Iranian officials, the integrated air defense system successfully intercepted and countered the aggression, with limited damage reported and further assessments underway.
