WANA (Dec 09) – Brigadier General Seyed Qasem Khamoushi, commander of the Army’s Helicopter Division, announced that despite sanctions, the division has manufactured and deployed over 900 essential helicopter parts domestically, turning threats into opportunities.

Speaking at the Mashhad Helicopter Division’s headquarters, Khamoushi credited the current strength of the Islamic Republic’s military to the challenges overcome in the past.

Reflecting on the pre-revolution era, he noted that 2,500 foreign military advisors believed they would return after the Islamic Revolution, but Iranian youth proved that foreign support was unnecessary, particularly during the Iran-Iraq War, when 33 countries backed Iraq.

He praised the Iranian people’s support during the war despite a lack of formal organization and highlighted the division’s role in providing emergency air services across 20+ provinces. “Humanitarian aid remains a top priority for us,” he said.

Khamoushi also highlighted the Mashhad base as a key facility, excelling in both operational missions and emergency air support.
