WANA (Sep 22) – Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran’s president, in a session before departing for New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly, said: “I hope to be the voice of the people of our country, as well as the voice of truth and justice, during my trip to New York.”

During his session, Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of the United Nations and its role in maintaining global peace and security. He emphasized that the organization should prevent countries from engaging in indiscriminate bombing and destruction, particularly against civilians, schools, and hospitals.

Iran’s president hoped to be the voice of Iran’s people and convey their calls for justice and fairness, as well as core beliefs, to those at the United Nations during this trip.

He also discussed his efforts to dialogue with other world leaders and Iranians residing in the U.S., aiming to foster peace and address misunderstandings regarding Iran’s situation in this coming trip.

Improving international relations and cooperation in security, economy, investment, and tourism are among the priorities for these discussions.
