Pezeshkian: Iran is in No Way Seeking War or Conflict
WANA (Oct 23) – During their meeting, the presidents of Iran and Egypt discussed the most important regional issues, strategies to end the war in Gaza and Lebanon, and preventing the spread of conflicts to other areas.
Masoud Pezeshkian, continuing his trip to Kazan, Russia, met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday afternoon. He stated, “I have successfully gained the trust of my people by promoting unity and cooperation within the country and strengthening friendly relations with other nations.” He emphasized, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is in no way seeking war or conflict.”
The Iranian president criticized the double standards and the support of Western countries for the crimes of the Israeli regime, declaring, “If the Israeli regime commits a mistake, rest assured that the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond with a painful answer. Naturally, the regime may inflict harm on Iran, but the damage it will receive in response will be beyond imagination.”
In this meeting, President El-Sisi remarked, “The main source of our strength as Muslims is our unity.” He added, “There are many diverse elements of power, but the most important is our cohesion. We must work together to help end the war in Gaza and Lebanon and ensure that the conflicts do not spread to other parts of the region.”
Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated, “Not as a political figure, but first and foremost as a Muslim, I believe we must advance our affairs through understanding and expanding friendship. Therefore, throughout all the years our relations have faced difficulties, I have never taken a stance against the Islamic Republic of Iran. I believe you should work to correct the distorted image of Iran that has been presented in the region and the world for the past 40 years.”
