Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a ceremony marking the 44th anniversary of Sacred Defense Week, emphasized the unity and resilience of the Iranian people and armed forces in defending the nation during the Iran-Iraq War.

 

He highlighted that despite global efforts to suppress the Islamic Revolution, Iran’s military strength and popular support prevented any foreign aggression.

 

Pezeshkian praised the significant progress in Iran’s defense capabilities, stating that the country’s deterrence power has reached a level where no enemy dares to contemplate an attack on Iran.

 

He acknowledged the critical role of the military in securing Iran’s sovereignty and commended the dedication of the country’s commanders, soldiers, and youth in advancing defense technology.

During the ceremony, various military units, including the army and IRGC, showcased the latest missile, drone, and radar technologies.

 

Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s commitment to regional peace and security, stressing the importance of unity among Islamic nations in confronting adversaries like the Israeli regime.

 

“Israel is a usurper, bloodthirsty and genocidal, and an Israel that does not show mercy to women, children, men, old and young, let’s put it in its place with unity and coherence, Pezeshkian stated.”

 

President of Iran also said that: “Today, we strongly announce to the world that in addition to defending our country, with unity and cohesion with Islamic countries, we can keep our region in peace and security and show off our honor and pride to the world.”

 

The parade featured elite units from the Iranian Army and IRGC, with displays of advanced weaponry and technology, underscoring Iran’s self-sufficiency in defense.
