WANA (Oct 16) – Today, In a phone call with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, Masoud Pezeshkian stated: “The Israeli War Machine Must Be Stopped by Pressuring the Regime’s Supporters.”

 

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman addressed pressing regional issues, notably the ongoing violence perpetrated by the Israeli regime in Gaza and Lebanon, alongside strengthening bilateral relations during this call.

 

Pezeshkian expressed satisfaction with the robust ties between Tehran and Muscat, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to deepening interactions between the two nations.

 

He reiterated that enhancing friendly relations with neighbouring countries is a priority for the Islamic Republic, fostering a unified approach to regional challenges that can lead to collective development and improved welfare for their people.

 

Highlighting the need for solidarity among Muslim nations, Pezeshkian said that unity among Islamic countries is crucial to countering the Israeli regime’s aggression, which the United States and Western governments often support.

 

The Iranian President praised Oman’s principled stance against the atrocities committed by Israel and called for increased pressure on Israel’s supporters to halt its violence.

 

In turn, Sultan Haitham expressed his appreciation for Iran’s consistent positions regarding regional matters, particularly about Gaza and Lebanon. He stressed the importance of avoiding double standards in Western responses to these issues.

 

He underscored Oman’s commitment to advocating for the rights of the oppressed people in Gaza and Lebanon, deeming ongoing Western support for Israeli actions as unacceptable and unjustifiable.
