WANA (Oct 20) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at the National Export Day conference, strongly criticized the actions of Israel in light of the attacks on Gaza, stating: “Zionists kill women and children, bomb hospitals and schools, and then talk about human rights. Is there any awakened conscience that accepts these crimes?”

Pezeshkian continued his criticism of the West’s contradictions in the fight against terrorism: “They use terrorists as an excuse to justify their crimes. If you claim these are terrorists, why don’t you confront them directly? Why do you sacrifice women and children?” He remarked that the number of people they have killed and the assassinations carried out by the U.S. and its affiliates in the region are incomparable to others.

He also pointed out the silence of the international community regarding these atrocities, adding: “Zionists commit the most brutal crimes while the world merely observes.”

The president also addressed Iran’s economic problems and international challenges, saying: “We are in a war that our enemies have imposed on us; however, this war is no longer missile-based but is a war of ideas and production. We are determined to build Iran and to create an environment for the economic and export activities of producers and exporters.”

Pezeshkian highlighted the obstacles that have been placed in Iranian’s way to prevent them from building Iran, stating, “But we are committed to doing so.” He also emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable groups, saying: “In every economic decision, we must support the weaker classes and ensure they do not fall below the poverty line.”

In conclusion, he referenced Iran’s international opportunities in economic forums such as Eurasia, Shanghai, and BRICS, asserting: “We will move forward unitedly toward progress and will build a stronger Iran.” Pezeshkian added, “We consider it our duty to do everything in our power to remove the obstacles in your way.”
