WANA (Oct 27) – On Sunday, October 27, 2024, Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the Iranian government’s stance regarding the recent Israeli incursion into Iran’s territory during a cabinet meeting.

In this session, Iran’s President referred to Israel’s violation of Iran’s airspace, stating: “Our dear people and the Islamic Republic have demonstrated over the past 45 years that they will not bow down to any aggressor.”

Pezeshkian added, “Today, the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime are evident to the whole world. The world now watches as the supporters of this occupying regime, led by the United States, preach human rights and freedom, yet remain silent as tens of thousands of women and children are killed by this brutal regime. Were these children terrorists? Is blocking food and medicine from reaching the oppressed people of Gaza part of the principles of warfare and civilized societies?”

The President continued, “Awakened consciences worldwide despise the Israeli regime and its heinous crimes.”

Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s right to respond to Israel’s aggression, saying, “We do not seek war, but we will defend our nation’s rights. We will give a fitting response to the Zionist regime’s aggression.”

He went on to state, “If the Israeli regime’s aggressions and atrocities persist, tensions will escalate. We are aware that the United States is inciting Israel to commit these atrocities. They had promised to end the conflict if we exercised restraint, yet they did not keep their word.”

Pezeshkian also expressed special gratitude for the recent efforts of Seyed Abbas Araghchi and the active diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
