WANA (Sep 26) – In his final programs during his trip to New York, Masoud Pezeshkian, in a meeting with a group of Iranians residing in the U.S., stated that the image of Iran portrayed by Western media today is incorrect and misleading. He added, “We do not deny the problems, but the reality in our country is far from what Western media propagates.”

The President went on to highlight the double standards regarding the tragic events in Gaza as a clear example of the falsehoods spread by these media outlets. He added, “Western media, which amplifies every incident in Iran under the claim of human rights violations, remains silent about the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon, where tens of thousands of women and children are being massacred.”

Referring to the government’s efforts to facilitate the movement and interaction of Iranians abroad with those inside the country, he added, “We will do everything in our power to utilize the capacities and talents of Iranians for the prosperity of the country. In this context, for the first time, two Sunnis, who are also Kurds, have been appointed as Vice President and Governor, which is unprecedented.”

Pezeshkian emphasized that all efforts are being made to achieve unity within the country and engagement with neighboring and other countries around the world. He stated, “If we stand together, the Zionist regime will no longer dare to commit such atrocities against Palestinians and the people of Lebanon. When the rights of one person in a country like Iran are violated, false human rights advocates mobilize the whole world against us, but when thousands of people are killed in Palestine and Lebanon, these fake advocates of human rights remain silent.”

President Pezeshkian stressed that “we are never a threat to any country, and if we are enhancing our military capabilities, it is not for aggression but to strengthen our deterrence and defensive power.” He noted, “If we are not strong, the same bombs dropped on Palestinians will be dropped on us as well.”
