WANA (Oct 28) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia held a telephone conversation to discuss regional developments and emphasized the importance of avoiding actions that could jeopardize the security and stability of the region.

 

In the call, “Faisal bin Farhan,” the Saudi Foreign Minister, consulted with “Abbas Araghchi,” the Iranian Foreign Minister.

 

During this conversation, both sides discussed bilateral relations, the latest regional developments, and the implications of rising tensions.

 

The Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers stressed the need to avoid actions that threaten regional security and stability.

 

Last week, “Mohammed bin Salman,” the Saudi Crown Prince, in separate meetings with the King of Jordan and the Foreign Minister in Riyadh, emphasized the importance of efforts to reduce regional tensions.

 

In these meetings, held at the Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, the two sides reviewed the historical ties between their countries, emphasized strengthening bilateral cooperation, and discussed regional issues, particularly the situations in Gaza and Lebanon.

 

Leaders of both countries highlighted the urgency of intensifying efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon and to ease regional tensions.

 

King Abdullah II and Crown Prince bin Salman also stressed the importance of supporting Palestinian and Lebanese brothers and providing humanitarian aid to alleviate their suffering.
