WANA (Mar 21) – Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mauro Vieira, Brazil’s Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral relations, multilateral cooperation, and regional and international developments.

 

During the discussion, both sides emphasized the importance of leveraging the extensive capacities of Iran and Brazil across various sectors. They also highlighted the role of multilateral organizations such as BRICS, of which both countries are members, and stressed the need to strengthen economic and political cooperation within this framework.

 

Araghchi reiterated Iran’s foreign policy focus on expanding engagement with emerging economies and expressed the Islamic Republic’s readiness to enhance both bilateral and multilateral collaborations.

 

The two foreign ministers also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, emphasizing the necessity for countries to adhere to the rule of law in international relations.
