WANA (Jan 28) – On the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) mission, officials, government representatives, ambassadors, envoys from Islamic countries, and groups of people from various walks of life met with Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the resistance movement is a continuation and reflection of the mission of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Highlights of Speech in This Meeting are as follows:

The Prophetic Mission: A Historic Turning Point

During the meeting, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized that the Prophet’s mission is one of the most blessed and monumental events in the history of humanity and existence itself. He described it as not just an ordinary event but one that ranks among the greatest moments in human history.

According to Ayatollah Khamenei, major events have significant impacts across various dimensions—individual, social, and beyond. One of their most critical effects is the intellectual and perceptual transformation they bring about in their audience.

For an event to leave a lasting impact on people’s lives and shape reality, it must first create a deep intellectual change in its audience. Once thoughts are corrected, actions will naturally follow. This intellectual transformation forms the foundation of life systems—political, economic, ethical, and social systems—because they are all built upon the dominant ideas of those who lead societies.

Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted that the Prophet’s mission stands out in this regard. The transformation it initiated—the individuals, thoughts, behaviors, and societies it encountered and reshaped—was extraordinary, both in its immediate time and throughout history.

Facing Modern Colonialism in All Its Forms

Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the issue of modern colonialism, stating that today, we are grappling with all three phases of colonialism. He remarked that the oppressive and evil powers of the world are targeting nations’ natural resources, their authentic cultures, and their national and Islamic identities with the aim of destruction and domination.

While these powers are not all identical, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the United States as being at the forefront. He described the U.S. government as the epitome of modern colonialism and arrogance, heavily influenced by the world’s financial elites. These elites dominate several Western governments, especially the U.S., through powerful cartels and trusts, orchestrating plans for all three stages of colonialism: economic exploitation, cultural degradation, and political domination.

Resistance: A Reflection of the Prophetic Mission

Ayatollah Khamenei described the resistance movement as a direct continuation of the Prophet’s mission. He explained that starting from Islamic Iran, this resistance awakened Muslim nations, brought some to the forefront of action, and even stirred the conscience of many non-Muslims. The resistance movement, he said, exposed and defined the oppressive global system of domination, which many nations previously failed to recognize.

He referred to Gaza as an example, noting that this small and limited region, under relentless assault from a fully armed Israeli regime supported entirely by the U.S., managed to bring the Israeli regime to its knees. “Is this a trivial achievement?” Ayatollah Khamenei asked, answering that it is a manifestation of resistance, faith, intellect, and reliance on divine promises, such as the Quranic declaration that all honor and power belong to God.

He also praised Hezbollah for its resilience despite the profound loss of a leader like Martyr Seyed Hassan Nasrallah. He noted that while some believed Hezbollah would collapse after such a loss, the group proved its resilience, growing even more determined and standing firm against the Israeli regime.

A Call to Action for Muslim Nations

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that this message is for all—Muslim governments, Muslim nations, and individuals alike. He stated that if we seek justice in this world or aspire for divine grace in the hereafter, we must embrace the concept, spirit, and movement of the Prophet’s mission: “Whoever desires honor and power, let them know that all honor belongs to God.”

He elaborated that honor means possessing an unshakable state that no external force—be it intellectual, spiritual, or physical—can negatively influence. This divine honor is invulnerable: “Do not lose heart, and do not grieve, for you are the superior ones if you have faith.”

The Danger Behind Diplomatic Smiles

In his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei warned about the hidden dangers behind the diplomatic smiles of adversaries. He urged vigilance, noting that behind these appearances lie malicious enmities and deep-seated hatred. “Let us keep our eyes open,” he said, “knowing well who we are dealing with, trading with, and speaking to.”
