Sajjadi: Issue of women’s presence in stadiums has been resolved
WANA (May 9) – Iran’s Sports Minister Hamid Sajjadi announced today that women could go to stadiums with no problem, and they resolved the issue of women’s presence in stadiums.
The subject of women’s presence in sports stadiums has become a severe issue in Iran’s sports environment.
Religious extremists were against the presence of women in sports gatherings. They considered it against religious behavior, but on the other hand, the governments of the last two decades of Iran cited the lack of suitable infrastructure for the presence of women in sports stadiums as the reason for the ban on the company of women in the place.
FIFA President’s Visit to Iran
Sajjadi stated that the FIFA president’s visit is related to football issues. He said that Infantino has meetings and visits to sports locations on his agenda.
