Saudi government’s opposition to Iranian pilgrims voting
WANA (June 26) – The Office of the Supreme Leader’s Representative announced that despite Iranian authorities’ pursuit of pilgrims voting in the cities of Mecca and Medina, the host government did not agree to hold elections on June 28.
The spokesperson of the election headquarters had previously stated that 47,000 Iranians would be in Mecca and Medina on election day.
