WANA (Sep 05) – During a visit by the mayor of Kashan, one of Iran’s cities, and his accompanying delegation to Bulgaria, a memorandum of understanding for a sister city agreement was signed between Kashan and Kazanlak.

 

This visit, made at the invitation of “Galina Stoyanova,” the mayor of Kazanlak, included the participation of Keyumars Mohammadpour, the mayor of Kashan, and Alireza Irvash, Iran’s ambassador to Bulgaria. During a special ceremony, the sister city agreement was signed between the two cities.

 

Kashan and Kazanlak are among the largest producers of roses in the world.

 

The shared historical, civilizational, and cultural heritage between Kashan and Kazanlak was the main reason for the signing of the sister city agreement.

 

During this visit, a wide range of topics related to cultural, academic, commercial, urban, and tourism cooperation were discussed and exchanged.
