The terrorist group ISIS, which, according to some U.S. officials like Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, was created and strengthened with the intelligence, financial, and military support of the United States and regional allies such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE, had an extensive mission in the region.
The group’s plan started with dominating Iraq and Syria, with its ultimate goal being to destabilize and threaten Iran. Major General Qasem Soleimani, with a strategic understanding of the existing threat, took preemptive measures before the danger reached Iran’s borders. Together with the “Defenders of the Shrine” forces, he effectively formed a transregional front, engaging ISIS in Iraq and Syria to counter this menace.
