WANA (Jan 16) – In a statement celebrating the establishment of a ceasefire in the Gaza conflict, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared the truce a “clear conquest and a significant victory for Palestine,” while calling it a “monumental defeat for the Zionist regime.”

 

The statement is as follows:

“Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory, so that Allah may forgive your past and future sins, complete His favor upon you, guide you to the straight path, and so that Allah will grant you a mighty victory.”

 

We give thanks to the Almighty God, as 16 months have passed since the remarkable, historic, pride-inducing, and eternal operation “Al-Aqsa Storm.” Despite the savage, medieval crimes and genocide committed by the evil Zionist regime, the sacred will of Hamas and the Islamic Resistance prevailed over the Zionist regime and the murderers of innocent Palestinian women, children, and men.

 

Those who, with the full support of the United States, European and regional allies, and the backing of the hegemonic media empire, sought to achieve their declared objectives—such as freeing captives without paying a price through military operations, the total destruction of Hamas, and the resettlement of northern settlers—have now, after 463 days of criminality, faced the unique patience and perseverance of Gaza’s heroic people and the iron will of the resistance, surrendering to a ceasefire.

 

During this period, over 50,000 defenseless individuals have been martyred, hundreds of thousands of Gaza’s residents injured, and more than 80% of Gaza’s vital and residential infrastructure destroyed.

 

Nevertheless, today marks the end of the war and the imposition of a ceasefire on the Zionist regime—a clear victory and a significant triumph for Palestine, and an even greater defeat for the monstrous Zionist regime.

 

This outcome brings joy and vitality to the proud people of Gaza as they return to their homes, while the butcher and bloodthirsty head of the illegitimate cabinet prepares to face a storm of criticism, protests, and internal divisions within the Zionist community.

 

The heroic Hamas, with faith in divine support and thanks to the legendary resistance and perseverance of Gaza’s resilient people, alongside a wave of widespread global support, emerged from the negotiation and agreement process with pride and dignity.

 

With its victory, it conveyed this message to the world: “Today, the resistance of the Palestinian nation is a shining symbol of the triumph of right over wrong and blood over the sword.”

 

It is now Tel Aviv and the usurping regime that have knelt before the will and invincibility of the Palestinians, confronting the collapse of their military and social resilience, reverse migration, economic bankruptcy, and political isolation.

 

Undoubtedly, this clear victory, like the “Al-Aqsa Storm,” which represented a multidimensional and irreparable defeat for the Zionists, has inscribed in history the truth that months of atrocities brought no gains for the Zionist regime.

 

Instead, the resistance remains alive, thriving, and steadfast, marching with deeper faith in the truthful promises of God toward the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Holy Jerusalem.

 

We honor the memory, legacy, and historic heroics of the martyrs of resistance and the path of Jerusalem’s liberation during this recent battle, particularly the martyrs Ismail Haniyeh, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, Yahya Sinwar, and Seyed Saleh Al-Arouri. We congratulate this monumental and significant event to the Palestinian resistance, especially the oppressed yet powerful people of Gaza.

 

While sharing in their unparalleled joy, excitement, and celebrations, we pay tribute to the honorable support of other pillars of the regional Islamic resistance front for Gaza, and we commend the sacrifices of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Ansarullah in Yemen, and the Iraqi resistance.

 

We caution against the possible betrayal of the evil Zionist regime and urge the maintenance of field readiness to counter new waves of war and atrocities. We hope that, by the will of God, the holding of the “Victory Prayer” by Muslims in Al-Aqsa Mosque will soon become the leading news story in global media.
