WANA (August 12) – The leaders of Germany, the UK, and France issued a joint statement calling for an “immediate end” to the war and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

In a joint statement, the leaders of the UK, France, and Germany, without directly addressing the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, declared that “the war in Gaza must immediately end, all hostages (Zionist captives) held by Hamas must be released, and humanitarian aid must immediately enter Gaza.”

The leaders of these three European countries described the legitimate retaliatory response of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hezbollah of Lebanon to the assassination and martyrdom of senior resistance officials in Tehran and Beirut as an “escalation of tensions.” They wrote: “We call on Iran and its allies to refrain from carrying out attacks that could escalate regional tensions.”

The statement did not mention the primary cause of the ongoing war in Gaza—the heavy military support provided by the United States to the Zionist regime. However, they claimed, “We are working with all parties to prevent further escalation and will spare no effort to calm the situation and find a path to stability in Gaza.”

The leaders of these three countries, without directly addressing the main obstacle to the delivery of humanitarian aid to the war-torn people of Gaza—the Zionist regime—claimed, “The residents of Gaza need the immediate and unrestricted delivery and distribution of aid.”

The UK, France, and Germany emphasized, “We support the joint statement by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States calling for the immediate resumption of negotiations (between Hamas and the Zionist regime).”

In conclusion, the European Troika placed the blame on Iran and the resistance groups in the region, claiming, “They will be held accountable for actions that jeopardize this opportunity for peace and stability. No country or nation will benefit from further escalation of tensions in the Middle East.”
