The Prime Minister of Pakistan Condemns Israel’s Aggression Against Iran
WANA (Nov 05) – The Prime Minister of Pakistan, while condemning the aggression of the Zionist regime against Iran, emphasized his support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also expressed concern over the situation in the Middle East, stemming from Israel’s war campaigns and ongoing genocide against Palestinians.
In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his accompanying delegation in Islamabad, Shahbaz Sharif conveyed his warm and heartfelt greetings to Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He emphasized Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen its brotherly relations with Iran by maintaining regular high-level exchanges and reinforcing mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas of shared interest.
The alarming situation in the Middle East was discussed during this meeting.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s clear support for the Palestinian people in their just struggle for self-determination and the establishment of an independent state. He strongly condemned and expressed profound concern over Israel’s ongoing genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people.
Shahbaz Sharif also stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the provision of unhindered humanitarian aid, and, most importantly, the fundamental right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, as guaranteed in relevant United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation resolutions.
The Prime Minister further reaffirmed his support for Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, strongly condemning Israel’s aggression against Iran on October 26 (5th of Aban).
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the Iranian Foreign Minister thanked Shahbaz Sharif for Pakistan’s principled stance and informed him of Iran’s perspective on the regional situation.
