WANA (Sep 10) – The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, reiterating its claims regarding the delivery of ballistic missiles from Iran to Russia, summoned the Iranian chargé d’affaires in Ukraine.

In a statement from the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated: “On September 9th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summoned the chargé d’affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine to express Ukraine’s deep concern regarding the possible transfer of Iranian ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation.”

Another part of the statement reads: “A statement dated September 7th from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with a serious warning that the confirmation of Iran’s delivery of ballistic weapons to the aggressor country, Russia, would have devastating and irreparable consequences for Ukraine-Iran bilateral relations, was handed over to the Iranian diplomat.”

Ukraine’s insistence on the claims made by Western media against Iran concerning the delivery of ballistic missiles to Russia comes despite recent denials of these claims by both Iranian and Russian officials.
