WANA (August 13) – Former President Donald Trump, in a live interview on Tuesday with Elon Musk, owner of the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), once again claimed that Iran was “bankrupt” during his presidency. He added, “I don’t want to do anything bad against Iran.”

This interview took place amid growing fears within Israel of a retaliatory attack following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, in Tehran, and Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah commander, in the suburbs of Beirut by the Israeli regime. Trump asserted that if he were still the U.S. President, “Iran would not have attacked.”

In another part of the interview, Trump remarked, “I know Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. They are at the top of their game.”

He further stated, “They are strong, smart, and dangerous, and they are defending their countries.”Shortly after the interview began, Musk announced that a cyberattack had targeted the discussion, causing technical issues.

In a post on X, Musk wrote, “It appears we’ve been hit by a massive ‘Distributed Denial of Service’ (DDoS) attack.”Musk added, “We will continue the interview with a smaller audience and immediately post an unedited version of this interview afterward.”

Many users reported not receiving the interview audio or being unable to access the program altogether.
