WANA (Mar 31) – Two Iranian films were showcased at the 20th International People’s Science and Research Film Festival “World of Knowledge” in Moscow, Russia.

 

On Sunday, April 1, 2025, at 11 AM local time, Russian audiences watched the 2021 film Fatemeh, directed by Mehdi Zamani-Pour Kiasari. The film tells the story of a woman living with her two sons on a farm far from the village, depicting her daily struggles of managing the household, raising livestock, and overcoming everyday challenges alongside her children.

 

At 1 PM local time on Sunday, the 2021 film The Players, directed by Nader Torkaman, was also screened. This film narrates the story of a group of rural children striving to realize their dream of forming their own football team.

 

The World of Knowledge Film Festival in Moscow opened with a ceremony on Thursday, March 28, 2025, at the Khudozhestvenny Cinema in Moscow.

 

The festival, which is the oldest film festival in Russia’s capital, concludes today, Sunday, after screening 55 films across multiple cultural venues in Moscow, coinciding with Russia’s Science and Technology Week.

 

The international segment of this festival features seven films from Iran, Spain, Serbia, India, the United States, and Panama. According to the festival’s organizing committee, these films explore the connection between science and ethics, showcase the interaction between humans and new technologies, and highlight the role of traditions in modern life.
