WANA (Oct 08) – The President of Iran, during his visit to the National Museum of Iran, unveiled a portion of the Achaemenid tablets that have been returned to the country.

In a meeting with a group of cultural heritage managers and activists, Massoud Pezeshkian stated, “The reality we are facing in the region is one crisis after another, and the challenges we encounter are making things increasingly difficult. A savage regime has been placed in the region by Europe and America, and they continue to support it, disregarding all human principles.”

He continued, “They speak of human rights and ask why a murderer is executed, but no one questions them about the innocent women and children they kill. Even if we are wrong, what name do you give to the inhumane acts you claim to be fighting against every day? This situation is disgraceful.”

Pezeshkian also remarked during the ceremony, “A person who does not know their past cannot plan for their future. The deep roots we have in culture, governance, political, and social matters provide us with valuable lessons.”

He emphasized, “If Muslims were united, could such catastrophes have befallen our region? Other countries do not have a cultural history, but they create one. We have a rich history, yet we have forgotten it. Our students need to become familiar with these concepts. They need to know what type of leadership enabled such development in that era. If we are severed from our roots of civilization, governance, and culture, we lose our identity, and they can do whatever they want to us. Our Iran is filled with cultural, artistic, political, and scientific wealth, and we must be able to share this culture with other nations.”

In conclusion, he stated, “We must present our identity and our deep and proud roots to the world. We need to clarify these roots. We must educate students and ensure that every Iranian, no matter where they are in the world, feels a connection to their homeland. We must showcase this identity to the global stage.”
