WANA (Mar 16) – The US and UK military strikes on Yemen have once again exposed Washington’s war-driven policies. These attacks stem not from a position of strength but from desperation in the face of Yemeni resistance and the failure of US and Israeli hegemonic policies in the region.

These blatant aggressions, carried out under flimsy pretexts and in support of Israeli interests, follow the same outdated strategy of fueling regional tensions—one that has repeatedly ended in failure. Over the years, Yemenis and the broader resistance front have foiled American and allied plots time and again. Now, Washington resorts to these attacks in an attempt to compensate for its mounting failures.

Faced with a deadlock against Yemen’s resistance and its impact on regional dynamics, the US is now opting for direct military strikes to restore a balance that has shifted against its interests.

However, as past wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria have shown, US military intervention does not yield the desired outcome. Instead, it strengthens the resistance and results in further American setbacks.

Through years of asymmetrical warfare, Yemen has repeatedly demonstrated its capability to thwart US and allied schemes. With steadfastness and resilience, it has pushed back against American and Israeli dominance.

While the latest attacks are undoubtedly destructive and inhumane, they will only reinforce the resolve of the resistance and increase Washington’s costs in the region. History has proven that the will of nations is stronger than military arsenals, and Yemenis continue to stand at the forefront of this battle.

Just as they have defeated their enemies in past confrontations, Yemenis will not be deterred by US efforts. This time, too, they remain unwavering in their struggle for rights and independence.
