WANA (July 17) – In a call with President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that numerous agreements were signed between Iran and Uzbekistan during the presidency of the late President Raisi, and expressed confidence that the new administration will fully cooperate to implement these agreements.

 

The Uzbek President congratulated Pezeshkian on his presidential election victory and honored the memory of the late President Raisi, expressing hope that the two countries will continue to strengthen their bilateral cooperation in the new era.

 

Mirziyoyev highlighted Uzbekistan’s interest in expanding cooperation with Iran, especially in the commercial and economic sectors, and emphasized his country’s readiness to hold a joint commission with Iran to facilitate private sector activities in both nations.
