What Products Does Iran Export to the U.S.?
WANA ( Apr 04) – After the administration of Donald Trump imposed tariffs ranging from 10% to 99% on imports from 135 countries, including Iran, a key question arose: What trade does Iran have with the U.S.?
In an interview with Young Journalists Club, Seyed Rouhollah Latifi, spokesperson for the Trade Development Commission of the Chamber of Commerce, stated:
Iran’s exports to the U.S. in the first 11 months of 2024 amounted to 84 tons with a total value of $172,621. This figure represents direct exports to the U.S. without passing through intermediary countries, with over 55% of these exports consisting of food products.
In contrast, U.S. exports to Iran during the same period totaled 1,431 tons, valued at $93,684,665.
About 75% of U.S. exports to Iran consisted of various medicines, dietary supplements, laboratory test kits, surgical and dental raw materials, and medical equipment. The remainder included food products, flavoring agents, dietary supplements, various acids, and livestock breeding materials such as chicks, heavy livestock, and shrimp.
