WANA(July 12) – The Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Transition of the Fourteenth Government of Iran,Mohammad Javad Zarif,  stating that “the process of appointing government members has just begun,” urged the public not to pay attention to rumors and fabrications surrounding this matter.

 

Zarif, in his social media account on X, reposted his interview with a domestic media outlet and wrote:

 

“Hello friends,
Please ignore the rumors and fabrications regarding the appointment of government members. The process has just started.”

 

In his interview, Zarif emphasized, “I strongly deny the rumor that figures such as Mr. Khatami are exerting pressure in this process. Such rumors are fundamentally incompatible with his noble conduct.”

 

He commented on some speculations about appointing cabinet members for the fourteenth government, saying, “So far, no candidate for any position, including the First Vice President, has even been considered. The review process will begin after receiving proposals from NGOs, scientific associations, professional associations, and the private sector.”

 

He added, “The call was sent out yesterday. The committee heads will meet with me tomorrow to determine the working method, and next week, the committee members will meet with Dr. Pezeshkian to hear his priorities for the fourteenth government. The candidate review process will begin transparently only after that, and God willing, it will be concluded by the end of July.”

 

The Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Transition of the Fourteenth Government also stated, “I ask all media, candidates, and their friends and supporters to refrain from fueling rumors and proposing names that not only have no basis but also damage public trust in the process. I also ask the dear public not to pay attention to these fabrications.”
