WANA (July 08) – The sixth session of the Supreme Space Council, presided over by Mohammad Mokhber, was held in recent weeks. During this session, it was decided that, pending the Supreme Leader’s approval, $500 million (equivalent to at least 20 trillion Tomans) will be allocated from the National Development Fund’s resources for the development of the space industry and the realization of its stakeholders’ goals.

 

The National Budget and Planning Organization, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology jointly made this proposal.

 

Additionally, this session decided to name the Chabahar Space Base the National Space Base Martyr Ayatollah Raisi.
