Terror Attack at Tehran’s Judiciary Building
WANA (Jan 18) – At 10:45 AM today, Two senior judges of Iran’s Supreme Court were targeted in an assassination attempt near Park Shahr in Tehran. In this terror attack within the judiciary building, Hojjatoleslam Ali Razini, head of Branch 39, and Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Maghiseh, head of Branch 53 of the Supreme Court, were killed, and three others were injured.
Eyewitnesses reported that an assailant with a weapon opened fire in Arg Square, Tehran. The assailant, a janitor at the Supreme Court, fired a Colt handgun at the judges. Immediately after the terrorist act, efforts were made to arrest the armed individual, but he quickly committed suicide.

According to initial investigations, the individual in question had neither a case with the Supreme Court nor had he been a visitor to the court’s branches. Further investigations are now underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators behind this terrorist act.
