Iran’s FM, Palestinian Islamic Jihad Chief Discuss Ceasefire Deal
WANA (Jan 19) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has discussed the latest developments on the ground and the ceasefire agreement in Gaza with Palestinian Islamic Jihad Secretary General Ziad Nakhaleh during a telephone conversation.
Araghchi congratulated the unparalleled resistance of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli regime’s genocide and heinous crimes over the past 15 months, which at last forced the regime to surrender and accept the truce.
He underlined the principled and unchangeable policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s legitimate and legal resistance against Israeli occupiers.
The secretary general of the Islamic Jihad Movement also gave a report on the latest field situation in Gaza and related political developments. Nakhaleh praised the courageous position and support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the people of Gaza.
He underlined that the resistance of the Palestinian people to reclaim their human and legal rights as well as to achieve self-determination and liberation from occupation will continue with great resolve.
