WANA (Feb 08) – Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, arrived in Karachi on Saturday to participate in the multinational naval exercise “Aman-25” at the invitation of the Pakistan Navy.

 

Highlighting the importance of close ties with Pakistan, Admiral Irani stated that Iran’s participation at the highest level in this international exercise reflects the strong relationship between the two nations.

 

He emphasized that the primary objective of joining Aman-25 is to enhance operational coordination at sea and lay the groundwork for future bilateral naval drills.

 

Iran’s naval units and special operations team are also taking part in the Karachi-based exercise. Admiral Irani expressed hope that these engagements would further strengthen Iran-Pakistan naval cooperation and facilitate joint exercises in the future.

 

He also appreciated the efforts of Iran’s embassy and military attaché in Pakistan for advancing naval collaboration between the two countries. Additionally, he confirmed that Iran will extend invitations to Pakistan for future naval drills in Iranian waters.

 

During his visit, Admiral Irani is scheduled to meet with Pakistan’s Navy Chief, attend the Aman International Maritime Conference, and inspect the operational phases of the multinational exercise.
