Senior Mossad Spy Executed in Iran
WANA (Apr 30) – Mohsen Langarneshin, who had been arrested and prosecuted on charges of espionage and intelligence cooperation with Israel—classified as moharebeh (waging war against God) and corruption on earth—was executed this morning following a full judicial process and confirmation of his sentence by Iran’s Supreme Court.
Langarneshin was recruited by the Israeli intelligence agency in October 2020 and, after completing various training courses, carried out his first mission for Mossad in January 2021.
Over two years, he maintained close and operational collaboration with senior Israeli intelligence officers and their operatives inside Iran. His activities included supporting terrorist operations and being present at the scene of the assassination of Colonel Sayyad Khodaei in Tehran.
Among his documented criminal actions were logistical, technical, and operational support for the attack on a defense ministry-linked industrial site in Isfahan; procurement of communication tools to establish secure infrastructure for Mossad assets in Iran; purchase and equipping of operational vehicles; transferring funds from Mossad officers to local operatives; and renting safe houses across several Iranian provinces.
According to extensive intelligence and technical documentation—including the use of a secure communication system known as “Red Windows”—his espionage and full logistical backing of Mossad-linked terror teams were confirmed. Confronted with overwhelming evidence during both the investigation and trial phases, Langarneshin gave explicit confessions regarding his actions.
He reportedly met with senior Mossad officers on two occasions in Georgia and Nepal, where he received his missions.
