WANA ( Apr. 10) – On the occasion of “National Nuclear Day”, Mohammad Eslami, Chairman of the Iran Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) in an interview with a local TV said: “Our nuclear power plant has so far supplied 58 billion kilowatts of electricity to the network”

 

In that interview he also added ” We have nuclear power plant development units in Bushehr, Khuzestan, Makran and Hormozgan coasts…We want to reach a point where 15% of the country’s electricity is supplied from the nuclear industry.”

 

National nuclear energy day usually falls on April 9. It is an occasion for Iranians to reflect on the long way they’ve come since 2006 in acquiring peaceful nuclear technology.
