Ending Inhumane Sanctions on the Iranian People Is a Priority
WANA (Apr 25) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that ending the unlawful and inhumane sanctions against the Iranian people—tangibly and swiftly—is a top priority for the country.
In a post on X, Esmaeil Baghaei, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, announced the arrival of Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Muscat to participate in the third round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States. He wrote: “Dr. Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with his delegation, has arrived in Muscat to take part in the third round of Iran-U.S. negotiations, mediated by the Omani Foreign Minister.”
He added: “We are determined to uphold the Iranian people’s legal and legitimate right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, and at the same time, we are prepared to take reasonable steps to reassure the international community of the completely peaceful nature of our nuclear program.”
Baghaei emphasized once again: “Ending the unlawful and inhumane sanctions against the Iranian people, in a concrete and immediate manner, is a priority for us. The key question now is how serious and prepared the other side is for a fair and realistic agreement.”
