Grossi: My Trip to Tehran Will Be Important
WANA (Nov 10) – The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has announced his upcoming trip to Tehran this week, describing the discussions during his visit as highly significant.
In a statement today, the IAEA confirmed that Rafael Grossi, the head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog, will travel to Tehran on Wednesday, November 13, to meet with senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During his visit, he will engage in technical discussions covering all aspects of the joint statement agreed upon with Iran in March 2023.

The statement further noted that Grossi’s meetings in Tehran will build upon his earlier discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in September.
Grossi himself emphasized the importance of making substantial progress in implementing the joint statement agreed upon with Iran in March 2023, stating, “My visit to Tehran will be crucial in this regard.”
At the invitation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rafael Grossi will arrive in Iran on Wednesday evening to hold meetings with high-ranking Iranian officials. He is scheduled to have official meetings with Iranian officials on Thursday.
