Iran and Belarus Launch Joint Military Parachuting Camp in Bushehr
WANA (Dec 16) – A joint freefall parachuting camp featuring elite teams from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Belarus commenced on Monday in Bushehr. Six teams of military paratroopers from Iran and Belarus are participating in this week-long event.
During the opening ceremony, Commander Amir Seyyed Morteza Darkhoran of the Bushehr Naval Base described the camp as a bilateral competition aimed at fostering friendship and sharing skills and experiences between the two nations.
Colonel Dmitry Rabinsky, Deputy Head of Physical Training for the Belarusian Armed Forces, expressed gratitude to Iran for hosting the event. He highlighted the importance of such joint initiatives in strengthening ties and exchanging operational expertise.
“This parachuting competition allows us to share experiences and learn how to conduct air and sea operations effectively when necessary,” Rabinsky noted, expressing hope for deeper cooperation between Iran and Belarus in the future.
The participating teams include representatives from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Law Enforcement Forces, Navy, two teams from the Army Ground Forces, and the Belarusian Army, competing while exchanging skills and experiences.
