WANA (Apr 27) – Following the tragic fire at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, expressed his deep sorrow over the incident.

 

In a message issued on Sunday, he extended his condolences to the families of the victims, called for a thorough investigation by security and judicial authorities to determine any negligence or deliberate wrongdoing, and emphasized the need for preventive measures against such disasters.

 

Ayatollah Khamenei also expressed his appreciation to the compassionate individuals who rushed to donate blood for the injured.

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

 

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return.”

 

The tragic fire incident at Shahid Rajaee Port has caused great sorrow and concern.

 

Security and judicial officials are obliged to conduct a thorough investigation, identify any negligence or deliberate actions, and pursue them in accordance with the law.

 

All officials must consider it their duty to prevent such painful and damaging incidents.

 

I pray for God’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, patience and tranquility for their bereaved families, and a swift recovery for the injured.

I sincerely thank the selfless people who readily volunteered to donate blood to the injured when needed.
