WANA (Oct 30) – In a recent interview, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), expressed surprise at the perceived weaknesses of the Israeli Air Force during recent confrontations.

“We had expected more from Israel’s military response,” General Naqdi said, noting that the Israeli Air Force was “much weaker than anticipated” and portrayed itself as “more vulnerable” than previously thought. He remarked, “We did not expect them to be so much weaker than they claimed.”

Highlighting the resilience of the Iranian people, Naqdi pointed to Iran’s eight-year war of defense and the various challenges faced over the past four decades. He emphasized that, for many Iranians, the recent Israeli attack appeared insignificant in comparison to past struggles. “This is why Israel’s threats seem relatively insignificant to Iranians,” he added.

He went on to underline Iran’s determination to respond to what he called Israel’s “transgressions on Iranian borders and sovereignty,” stressing that Iran will take the necessary measures to ensure that Israel understands the miscalculations it has made about the Iranian people.
