WANA (Feb 18) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces have unveiled new suicide and tactical reconnaissance drones during the Great Prophet 19 military exercise.

 

Among the newly introduced drones are the hybrid reconnaissance UAV “Bina” with a 40-kilometer operational range, as well as the “Qandil 4 and Qandil 5” reconnaissance drones, which have a 100-kilometer range and flight endurance of five and ten hours, respectively.

 

Also showcased were the “Arbaeen” vertical takeoff bomber drone with a 10-kilometer range and a seven-kilogram payload, the “Raad-2” suicide drone with a 20-kilometer range and a five-kilogram warhead, the Raad-3 with a 100-kilometer range and a 12-kilogram warhead, and the “Saegheh” suicide drone with a 20-kilometer range and a one-kilogram warhead.

 

Additionally, the “Saber” combat micro-drone was introduced, featuring the capability to carry anti-armor, anti-personnel, and anti-fortification payloads with an operational range of five kilometers.

 

In the initial phase of the Great Prophet 19 exercise, the IRGC Ground Forces also introduced the “Rezvan” loitering suicide drone, featuring a 20-kilometer range and 20-minute flight endurance.

 

The rapid deployment and ease of use of these UAVs enhance the IRGC Ground Forces’ rapid reaction units, providing advanced capabilities to combat terrorist groups, particularly in complex mountainous terrains.
