WANA (Oct 15) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning the Israeli regime’s crime in the attack on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza, said that the confidence in impunity is one of the main reasons for the continuation of crimes in Gaza and Lebanon. In this regard, the regime’s supporters bear both moral and international responsibility.

Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s crime of bombing Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza with incendiary bombs, which caused a massive fire and resulted in the deaths and injuries of many innocent people. He described it as a clear example of a war crime and part of a genocide plan against Palestinians.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson, recalling the prohibition under international law against targeting civilian sites, especially hospitals and medical centers, stated that the repeated and deliberate attacks by the Israeli regime on hospitals, and the killing of patients, injured individuals, doctors, and healthcare workers, are in themselves sufficient for prosecuting the regime’s leaders for committing war crimes.

Baghaei also expressed deep regret over the obstruction by the regime’s supporters, particularly the United States and the United Kingdom, of any international action, including by the International Criminal Court, to hold the regime’s leaders accountable. He emphasized that the regime’s confidence in ‘impunity’ is one of the main factors encouraging Israel to continue its crimes in Gaza and Lebanon and stressed the moral and international responsibility of the regime’s supporters.
