IRGC Responds to U.S. Attack on Bandar Abbas by Targeting Source of Aggression
WANA (May 28) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had retaliated against what it described as a U.S. military attack near Bandar Abbas by targeting the American air base identified as the source of the strike.
In an official statement released by the IRGC’s public relations office, the force said the U.S. military carried out an attack at dawn using aerial projectiles against a location on the outskirts of Bandar Abbas Airport.
According to the statement, the American air base allegedly involved in the operation was struck at 4:50 a.m. in response.
“The response serves as a serious warning to the enemy that aggression will not go unanswered,” the statement said, adding that any further attacks would be met with a “more decisive response.”
The IRGC also stated that responsibility for the consequences of the escalation lies with “the aggressor.”
The statement concluded with a Quranic verse: “Victory comes only from God, the Almighty, the Wise.”
