WANA (Jul 20) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released Statement No. 31, thanking what it described as the cooperation and intelligence provided by the people and military personnel of Jordan, and announced that a number of U.S. military assets in Jordan were targeted during the 21st wave of Operation Nasr 2.

 

According to the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, Aerospace Force units, during the 21st wave of Operation Nasr 2, codenamed “Ya Roghayeh (PBUH),” used the intelligence they had received to launch ballistic missiles at U.S. Air Force C-17 strategic transport aircraft and P-8 command-and-control aircraft stationed at Aqaba Airport, causing what it described as heavy damage to several of them.

 

The statement also said that intelligence previously provided by the same sources had led to the targeting of 20 hangars housing U.S. forces in the Azraq area, resulting in the deaths of dozens of American troops.

 

In the remainder of the statement, the IRGC accused the United States of carrying out military interventions in Islamic countries and supporting Israel, and expressed appreciation for those who it said had contributed intelligence in support of its operations.
