WANA (Jul 11) – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution issued a message on the occasion of the funeral and burial ceremony of Iran’s late Supreme Leader, stressing that Iran would continue his path and pursue retribution for his death and for all those killed in the two recent wars.

 

“We pledge to avenge your pure blood and the blood of all those martyred in these two wars from the criminal and disgraced perpetrators. This revenge is the will of our nation, and it will certainly be carried out,” the Leader said.

 

In the message, the Leader described Iran’s late Supreme Leader as a figure whose political and revolutionary life was shaped by religious principles and a culture of resistance, saying he ultimately sacrificed his life in pursuit of those ideals.

The Leader also praised what he described as the historic turnout at the funeral ceremonies held across Iran and Iraq, including in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad, Najaf, and Karbala, thanking the millions who took part.

 

He said the Iranian nation had paid a heavy price over the decades in pursuit of its goals and remained committed to continuing the same course. Addressing Iran’s late Supreme Leader, he pledged that the nation would preserve his legacy, remain steadfast in the face of hardship, and continue following the path he had outlined.

 

A central focus of the message was the pledge to retaliate against those responsible for the deaths of Iran’s late Supreme Leader and others killed in the two recent wars. The Leader reiterated that revenge was “the will of the Iranian nation” and “will certainly be carried out.”

 

He added that those responsible for what he described as the crimes had been identified and “will take to their graves the unfulfilled wish of dying peacefully in their beds.”

The Leader further stressed that carrying out this pledge did not depend on his own presence or that of other officials.

 

“Whether we are here or not, this promise will be fulfilled,” he said, adding that “before long, free people across the world will each carry out a part of this mission.”

 

In another part of the message, the Leader described the death of Iran’s late Supreme Leader as the fulfillment of his lifelong aspiration for martyrdom and paid tribute to those who were killed alongside him. He also expressed hope that they would one day stand alongside the Shiite faith’s promised savior in establishing global justice.

 

The message concluded with condolences and prayers for the elevation of the deceased, patience for their families, and what the Leader described as “a decisive and imminent victory” for the Iranian nation.
